The reason "Malta called SmartCity"


SmartCity Malta heralds(先驅) the transformation of the country's economy
to one powered first and foremost by knowledge. It forges(結成) a premier(總理)
ICT and media park, showcasing Malta to the world as the region’s
new destination(目的) for high-tech industries. In doing so, it is expected
to generate a minimum of 5,600 jobs in these fields and to spur(帶動)
development across many sectors(行業) of the nation’s economy.

馬爾他靠著知識轉變為經濟的先驅。它結合了ICT和多媒體，顯示了馬爾他已經成了一個
高科技的工業的地區。因此，帶動了許多影響經濟的行業。

With the Government of Malta as a partner, local, regional and
international companies can be assured(保證、確信) of the country’s
long-term commitment(承諾) to knowledge-based opportunities. Over the past
few years, the government’s policies strengthening education, legislation(立法)
and infrastructure have resulted in Malta’s inclusion(列入) in the European
Union, a dramatic increase of foreign investment(投資) in the island and
real GDP growth of more than three percent. Malta will continue to
play an active role in assisting and generating business for incoming
firms that locate to its shores, and to invest strategically in
information and communications technology.
